Celebrating District Governor Mark Shockey: A Champion for Inclusion, Growth, and Belonging
At the Rotary Club of I-94 Inclusive we proudly celebrate District 5950 2025–2026 District Governor Mark Shockey, for his exceptional leadership and heartfelt commitment to building a more welcoming and inclusive Rotary for all.
Governor Mark Shockey has been a true advocate for opening doors and creating opportunities for individuals from underrepresented, underserved, and historically marginalized communities. Through his support and encouragement, the Rotary Club of I-94 Inclusive was successfully chartered in District 5950, creating a new home in Rotary where diversity is valued, voices are heard, and everyone has a place to belong.
His leadership reminds us that Rotary is strongest when it reflects the richness of the communities we serve. By intentionally supporting inclusion, membership growth, and belonging, Governor Mark has helped expand Rotary’s reach and inspire a new generation of leaders and changemakers.
One of the most memorable moments of our journey was during the 2026–2027 North Central Presidential Learning Seminar, where Governor Shockey honored our club with a symbolic gift: a Bald Cypress tree. As he shared his inspiring message, he beautifully connected the growth of a tree to the growth of Rotary, both requiring strong roots, nurturing, vision, and commitment to future generations.
Like the Bald Cypress tree, Governor Shockey’s leadership is planting seeds that will grow into lasting impact for years to come.
