Why Rotaract Diaspora Professionals Matters in a Global Village
The world has become a global village. Young professionals today live, work, study, and build relationships across cultures, countries, and communities. Yet many talented young people, especially immigrants, underserved professionals, and those from overlooked communities, still do not always see themselves reflected in traditional civic and service organizations.
Rotaract Diaspora Professionals was created to help change that.
Sponsored by the Rotary Club of I-94 Inclusive, the club creates a welcoming space where young professionals from diverse backgrounds can connect, develop leadership skills, serve their communities, and build bridges between local and global communities. It recognizes that our differences are not barriers to service, they are strengths that can expand our collective impact.

Dear Rotary Club of I-94 Inclusive Members,
It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Gle Estime as Chair of the Environment Committee for the Rotary Club of I-94 Inclusive.
Gle brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and hands-on experience in environmental stewardship and community engagement. Her passion for creating sustainable communities aligns perfectly with Rotary’s commitment to protecting the environment, one of Rotary’s Areas of Focus.

Jason made history as the first new member to join Rotary District 5950 following the installation of our new District Governor, Leif Hagen, and the beginning of the Rotary year under Olayinka H. Babalola of Nigeria, the second Rotary International President from Nigeria and only the second from the African continent.
Jason's decision to join reflects the spirit of a new Rotary year, one filled with hope, service, friendship, and a commitment to creating lasting change. Rotary Club of I-94 Inclusive Serves at Community Garden
On May 16, 2026, members of the Rotary Club of I-94 Inclusive proudly joined together at the Community Garden at Lord of Life Church in Maple Grove to support a meaningful service project focused on growing fresh, healthy food for our community.
As Rotary People of Action, we are dedicated to Service Above Self and strive to live out Rotary’s Four-Way Test in everything we do. Through volunteer service and community engagement, we work to create stronger neighborhoods, healthier families, and lasting connections among people from all walks of life.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Community Service Chair Wesley, Public Image Chair Marcus, and Club President Samba Fall for their outstanding leadership, vision, and commitment to making a positive difference in our community. Their dedication helped make this project a success and demonstrated the power of service in action.
This project was about more than planting vegetables. Together, we are cultivating hope, promoting sustainability, strengthening food security, and building a more connected and caring community. Every seed planted represents our commitment to creating a brighter future for all.

At the Rotary Club of I-94 Inclusive we proudly celebrate District 5950 2025–2026 District GovernorMark Shockey, for his exceptional leadership and heartfelt commitment to building a more welcoming and inclusive Rotary for all.
GovernorMark Shockey has been a true advocate for opening doors and creating opportunities for individuals from underrepresented, underserved, and historically marginalized communities. Through his support and encouragement, the Rotary Club of I-94 Inclusive was successfully chartered in District 5950, creating a new home in Rotary where diversity is valued, voices are heard, and everyone has a place to belong.
His leadership reminds us that Rotary is strongest when it reflects the richness of the communities we serve. By intentionally supporting inclusion, membership growth, and belonging, Governor Mark has helped expand Rotary’s reach and inspire a new generation of leaders and changemakers.
One of the most memorable moments of our journey was during the 2026–2027 North Central Presidential Learning Seminar, where Governor Shockey honored our club with a symbolic gift: a Bald Cypress tree. As he shared his inspiring message, he beautifully connected the growth of a tree to the growth of Rotary, both requiring strong roots, nurturing, vision, and commitment to future generations.
Like the Bald Cypress tree, Governor Shockey’s leadership is planting seeds that will grow into lasting impact for years to come.

Women are active participants in Rotary, serving their communities in increasing numbers and serving in leadership positions in Rotary. The 1989 Council on Legislation vote to admit women into Rotary clubs worldwide remains a watershed moment in the history of Rotary.
“My fellow delegates, I would like to remind you that the world of 1989 is very different to the world of 1905. I sincerely believe that Rotary has to adapt itself to a changing world,” said Frank J. Devlyn, who would go on to become RI president in 2000-01.
The vote followed the decades-long efforts of men and women from all over the Rotary world to allow the admission of women into Rotary clubs, and several close votes at previous Council meetings.
